Assassin’s Creed IV Black Flag….WHAT THE WHAT (trailer included)?!

[UPDATE] Cat is out of the bag, Assassin’s Creed IV is now available for pre-order. Get it from Gamestop or straight from Ubisoft via Uplay

The Internet is alive with spewings of horror, lust, language, fire, cannon fodder, and joy. As it turns out Ubisoft is terrible about keeping secrets, and is wonderful at letting surprises leak.

Only a few months earlier the store shelves were graced with the presence of Assassin’s Creed 3 with mixed mumbles from critics and fans alike. Some good and some bad are not statements you want to hear about your multimillion dollar tripple-A title. Did Ubisoft anticipate the lackluster outing for AC3? Or were they developing a sequel along side Assassin’s Creed 3?

Who knows, what we do know is we have some information on what looks to be the fourth installment of the Assassin’s Creed franchise.

So what is it we have to offer up to our lovely fans? First off we will start with some info.

Who is the new hero:

Captain Edward Kenway

When does it take place:

Some time in the 17th century

Who is the hero in the AC story:

The grandfather of the assassin from AC3, so events are taking place between Revelations and AC3

Main Concept:

PIRATES!

Where can we play this:

PC/ WII U/ PS3/ Xbox 360/ PS4/ Microsoft’s Next-GEN

Release Date:

Console – October 29th 2013

PC – December 31st 2013 (LAME!)

The game seems to have been scheduled for an October 29th 2013 release date. So why is the sequel coming out so fast after AC3? One would think they would take a little more time to get everything (controls) just perfect after the previous game. Maybe Ubisoft is following the sports game/war time FPS model of pump out a game once a year to rake in on the cash. Never the less we have a new Assasin’s Creed game on our doorsteps.

Now here are some Pictures for your enjoyment.
